Happy February and happy Friday! What could be sweeter than this lovely couple in this gorgeous place? It was such an honor to work with Saori and Takeshi a few months back and to create these portraits at Lake Casitas in Ojai, California. These two are so kind and so in-love. Paul and I feel so lucky to have met them. Takeshi has such a flare for making his lady laugh and I’m sure it will help to make their life together a very happy one. They met while golfing, so the first photographs on the green lawn are perfect for them. My favorites are the last photographs on the dock at sunset with the pretty pink light.
After Saori booked us she said she was hoping to capture the Pink Moment in their photographs. At first I was so confused and a little concerned. What is the Pink Moment and how does one photograph it? I did a quick google search and learned that the Pink Moment is simply the name for a pretty sunset in Ojai. According to wikipedia, “Since Ojai is lined up with an east-west mountain range, it is one of few towns in the world to have a ‘Pink Moment’ occur as the sun is setting. The fading sunlight creates a brilliant shade of pink for several minutes on the Topatopa Bluffs, over 6,000 feet above sea level at the east end of the Ojai Valley.” I love Lake Casitas and the artsy little town of Ojai. I’m glad they’re just a quick drive away from Santa Barbara.
“Thank you very much for the beautiful photos!!!!!! We loved them so so so much! I’m really glad that I have met you, and asked you to be our photographer!!! I don’t know how to thank to you! You are the best!!! I’ve already recommended to many people about you!” – Saori, Bride
