I don’t progress nearly as much as I’d like, but I always strive to be growing and evolving into a better person (friend, daughter, sister, wife). Professionally, Paul and I are constantly striving for growth as well. For us, being creative professionals means learning and improving every day. So, we are always really grateful for opportunities to learn in leaps and bounds.
Yesterday we were able to spend the day in Los Angeles at the Pro Photo Expo hosted by Professional Photographers of California (check out our snazzy badges below, plus some iphone snaps of the expo). The best part for us was forming personal connections with some of the key staff members at Simply Color Lab and Renaissance Albums (two different photo companies that we love and order from frequently). Now we’re even more familiar with the absolute best products to offer our clients as well as the craftsmen behind the trusted companies that we’ve chosen to work with.
A couple of weeks ago we also had the opportunity to attend a brief business seminar in Hollywood hosted by shootdotedit. We learned from business savvy photographers Jared Bauman and Leeann Marie. Zach and Jody Gray from Nashville also presented, and it was really encouraging for us to hear from another passionate husband and wife team. Yay learning!
The next big event for us will be exhibiting our own work and meeting couples at the Bridal Premiere next Sunday in Westlake Village. We have some complimentary tickets to give away, so if you’re a bride-to-be in SoCal just let us know!
